Without Imagination, most of us would live our lives in a state of panic or quiet despair. When we face problems in our lives, it is our creative mind, and our inner strength that we call upon to life us up. The possibilities only exist for every new idea or concept ever thought up by mankind as part of the creative imagination that is a part of us. Positive outcomes and new beginnings are made possible at times only when we allow ourselves to dream big. We must use the power of our imagination to dream and create goals, especially in the New Year that is before us after a year of living in a Pandemic!
Discovery is a concept that is part of our American ideal. The thought of exploring and discovering new passages, of dreaming of big and bold new ideas, and then to discover who we are and what our potential can be is a part of what makes us human. Apart from outward discovery, discovering our potential can be one of life’s great adventures. We can discover blessings in our life and in things that surround us every day that we may have taken for granted before. There is usually a hidden silver lining to adversity, even in the midst of a pandemic!
When the news is bad, it’s hard for us to remain upbeat and positive. In fact, it can be downright annoying when we feel people are just ‘faking it’ or don’t really have a positive attitude, but instead are phonies. But there are those who truly have dynamic and encouraging attitudes to share, and it’s always a good idea to surround yourself with upbeat people rather than those who spread negativity wherever they go. It is hard to always maintain an upbeat attitude, but in the end, the way we face adversity can prove our own character and we find strength and even humor in some of life’s darkest days! Remember the old song: “You have to ac-centuate the positive and E-liminate the negative…Latch on to the affirmative and don’t mess with Mr. In-Between!” You’ll find that simple ways to lift your spirits and to look for positive energy are probably some of the best remedies and least expensive cures for all those things that ail you on a daily basis. You may discover that it’s much better to become one of those dynamic and spiritually uplifting people rather than a gloomy Gus!
